Slacking

Okay.  Okay.  I know.  I have not been blogging much this winter.  And I am sure you all miss me terribly.  I know some of you are especially missing my Formula 1 race reports (mom).  I think the moment has passed for Australia, but stay tuned for Formula 1 action next weekend from Malaysia.

In the meantime, readers who know me well will know why I think this is hilarious:

Go Charlotte go!

May the Fourth be with you

Get it? ¬†It sounds like “May the force be with you.” ¬†Clever isn’t it?

Today is Star Wars Day, an unofficial holiday.  One that may or may not be sanctioned by Mr. George Lucas.  I really have no idea about that.

I love the original three Star Wars movies.  The prequels I could live without.  They only thing they have going for them is Ewan McGregor.  Mmmm, Ewan McGregor…

But I digress.

One year Tom gave me the original trilogy on DVD for Christmas.¬† Princess O looked at them and said, ‚ÄúI thought those were boy movies‚ÄĚ.

The Empire Strikes Back is my favorite Star Wars movie.¬† Or as the C-Man, ever a stickler for details used to call it ‚ÄúStarWarsEpisodeFiveTheEmpireStrikesBack‚ÄĚ.

I have been enjoying reading all my friends favorite quotes on Facebook.  In my opinion, these are the best quotes:

Leia:  You make everything so difficult!

Han:  I know, I do, I really do.

Leia:  I love you

Han:  I know

Han:  And I thought they smelled bad from the outside.

Han:  Who are you calling scruffy looking?

Han: A Jedi Knight? Jeez, I’m out of it for a little while, everyone gets delusions of grandeur!

Three guesses who my favorite character is.

Check this out:

It’s a Star Wars wedding cake!

And finally, remember, Han shot first.

Odds and Ends

As I was driving around today I saw a pickup truck from the fire department parked on the side of the road and two firemen standing with it. ¬†My first ¬†thought may or may not have had something to do with the fact that said firemen were very attractive (sorry honey). ¬†My second thought was “I hope nothing’s wrong”. ¬†The good news is there was no fire, the guys were digging the hydrant out of the snow drift. ¬†Now that’s a lot of snow.

I have had Lady GaGa songs going through my head all day. ¬†And the Truly Awful thing is I kind of don’t mind.

And how cute is this?

Thanks Sarah for sending me the link.
