My cousin A sent me a friend request on Facebook. Of course I said yes. A is in high school and I don’t actually know her all that well given the vast difference in our ages, so I thought to myself “this will be cool”.
Well the other day she posted something mid-morning on a weekday, Something about suspecting she had not done very well on a pop quiz she had just taken at school. My first thought was not anything sympathetic like “that sucks” or “that’s too bad” or even an encouraging thought like “better luck next time”.
No. my first reaction was “why are you posting to FB during school?!?” At least I managed to keep that to myself and not post it.
So, I think I must be getting old. Sigh.

Were people surprises you have a cousin in high school! Took me a minute to realize who it was. Barbara is also one of her friends, and she is always commenting on A’s grammer and spelling.
